He went on to provide community medical services at Santa Barbara Hospital in Tolima, Colombia until 1981. In 1982, Dr. Sanchez moved to the United States to further advance his career. In 1983, he received his Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates certification. In 1986, he completed his residency in Pediatrics at the Hurley Medical Center. In 1989, he completed a fellowship in Pediatric Neurology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. In 1990, he completed another fellowship in Neurology/ EEG and Evoked Patients at Indiana University School of Medicine. In 1995, he became a certified Diplomate in the specialty of Clinical Neurophysiology from The American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology. Since 1997, Dr. Sanchez is certified as a Diplomate in the Specialty of Neurology with a Special Qualification in Child Neurology from The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. In 2001, Dr. Sanchez established his own private practice specializing in Pediatric Neurology located in Miami, Florida. Dr. Sanchez is a medical professional dedicated to developing his knowledge as he utilizes the most advanced resources available, as a method of serving his patients with excellence.
