Why Epilepsy Awareness Matters

Over 500,000 Floridians live with epilepsy, making it one of the most common neurological conditions in the state. Epilepsy is a spectrum disorder characterized by unpredictable seizures that can disrupt daily life, independence, and safety. Treatment often involves a combination of medication, lifestyle adjustments, and sometimes surgical or device-based interventions.

Organizations like the Epilepsy Alliance Florida are instrumental in supporting individuals with epilepsy and their families. They offer resources, advocacy, and community engagement. By participating in events like Paws & Pumpkins, First Choice Neurology continues its mission of advancing epilepsy care and improving the quality of life for patients.
