Mirla Avila, MD, FAAN, is a board-certified neurologist with a subspecialty in Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology. She joins Grove Neurology / First Choice Neurology after more than a decade at Texas Tech University, where she served as Associate Professor of Neurology and Director of the Comprehensive Multiple Sclerosis Center in Lubbock, Texas.
Dr. Avila has built her career at the intersection of clinical care, research, and medical education. While her clinical passion lies in MS and neuroimmunology, her years of teaching residents and caring for patients across both inpatient and outpatient settings have shaped her into a well-rounded neurologist with the depth and experience to help patients with a broad range of neurological conditions.
