Eileen Higgins, MD, FACS, DABOM

Eileen Higgins, MD, FACS, DABOM obtained her medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. She completed her specialty training in General Surgery at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami Beach, Florida, where she was Chief Resident. She obtained her Board Certification in General Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a diplomat of the American Board of Obesity Medicine.

Currently, she practices adult and adolescent obesity and nutritional medicine and wellness. Dr. Higgins is a former curriculum developer and lecturer with the Miami-Dade Public School System in the areas of nutrition and wellness. She has a focus on helping overweight patients attain their best health via lifestyle, possible pharmacotherapy, body composition analysis, and possible referral to bariatric surgery while staying available. Underweight and ideal-weight patients can attain their best health via lifestyle and body composition analysis for the most precise care.
